There's not much we can do other than recommend the classics, the ones everyone uses. A lot of it depends on your learning style, how much grammar you really want to know, how deeply do you want to know it, how do you want to study your verbs, etc. etc. Barron's 501 Spanish Verbs and Dorothy Richmond's Practice Makes Perfect: Spanish Pronouns And Prepositions are a couple of the best books, and for those you who can't seem to get past the basics, Breaking Out of Beginner's Spanish is a great resource. We understand these are not books people fall in love with because, frankly, they're forever associated with the painful process of learning. But they are the solid references.
